Closure vs Frontals
When ordering a wig for the first time/not having much experience with wigs it can be scary or put you off buying a wig. This post is here to help guide you in ordering the correct wig for you!
Let's start with what a closure/frontal is.
Closure
Closures vary in lengths as shown in the picture below. We only sell 4x4 and 5x5. Closure are relatively cheaper than frontals and clients usually find it easier to maintain and wear. Depending on the closure type you get, determines how easy it is to style it. For example, 2x6 lace closure are very limited in terms of styling. 4x4 lace closure compared to 2x6 is much more easier to style.
Frontals
Frontals vary in length as shown in the picture below. We currently only sell 13x4. Frontals are more expensive, however, with frontals you can do more styles compared to closure (i.e. half up, half down).
So which one do I pick?
For first time buyers, I will always recommend to get a 4x4 closure and here is why:
- Your first wig is always part of your 'experimental trial' (you're trying to figure out what works best for YOU and your wig) and jumping into frontals isn't advisable
- Going for frontals first can cause huge risk of ruining the unit. With closures, you are less likely to mess up
- In general, most of my first time buyer clients who have purchased a closure have said that it was easier to wear and were happy they started their wig journey with closures
Or if you are trying to pick between a closure or frontal:
- Are you wanting to be able to style the wig anyway you want? If so, a frontal is better for you
- Do you want a wig but you want to save some coins? A closure is more suited for you
- Are you wanting a wig that can be custom for your hairline? A frontal is the way forward
At the end of day, we want your unit to reflect how beautiful you are! Hopefully this post has made your decision easier but if you still have any questions please don't hesitate to email me at Lbmwigs@gmail.com
